Busy, Busy Mom
Lately, I have been so busy that my head has been constantly spinning. I have a full-time job, this blog, and classes I’m taking to work towards a Funeral Services degree. It’s a constant race to see how much I can get done in an extremely small amount of time. Sometimes I am so proud of what I’m accomplishing… and sometimes I forget to complete assignments, fail to post on the blog, and forget my name at work (so totally not kidding).
The more I try to accomplish, the more I realize that I need to simplify my life as much as possible. I’ve started to listen to podcasts after I drop the boys off at the Boys’ and Girls’ Club, started putting my school notes on 3×5 cards so they are more portable, and do my grocery shopping on Friday night so I can use Saturday and Sunday for spending time with my family, and catch up on studying, and blogging.
One thing I am SUPER bad at is preplanning for gifts for birthdays, baby showers, and weddings. I’m the mom that stops by the store on the way to the birthday party to buy the gift and am frantically trying to package it up and sign the card in the car before we walk in.
Each time I was pregnant, I didn’t even bother creating a registry. It was a great idea! Gift registries are AWESOME and it’s supposed to be one of the most fun parts of being pregnant. People would ask me where I was registered… I just didn’t have the time to even think about it. I worked through most of my pregnancies (one up to the day before my induction). Even the pregnancies where I wasn’t working were super busy because of my other little ones.
I was recently introduced to BabyGenie.com and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this site! I wish that I would have known about it then!
BabyGenie.com has been helping moms create gift registries for 17 years. Recently, the company overhauled their website to offer an even better experience. They search the internet to find the best products from top-rated stores such as Amazon.com, Walmart, ToysRUs, Target, Dillard’s, Kohl’s, Pottery Barn, and more.
Members can share one single list with friends and family. This will be SO much easier than sending a bunch of links for different accounts.
BabyGenie.com doesn’t sell the products, so any questions about specific products should be directed at the individual stores.
The website lists every product imaginable. Members click on the individual categories to find specific products.

This website is really impressive. You can sign up for a free membership and gain access to all of the resources. Even if you don’t think you need a gift registry right now, check it out…. it’s totally worth it… and share it with anyone who needs to start a gift registry.
